“I love learning new languages.”

What inspired you to start studying Arabic? 
I love learning new languages, and the writing made it even more special. It was the first language that had a different alphabet and writing! I was excited for this new challenge.

What has your experience been like at UCAN? 
Very good especially thanks to my teacher Mohamed Hamdy, he is the best!

Tell us one of your favorite experiences or memories at UCAN?
My conversation classes with Mohamed!

How has this program impacted your daily life or career?
I can understand what my friends and students are saying without them knowing, I can be more comfortable in the egyptian culture, I can be more myself.

What would you tell someone who is considering studying at UCAN? What should other potential students know? 
Do it because it is the respectful thing to do when moving to another country, you need to learn the language of the country!

Martina has been living in Egypt for 3 years now and works as a teacher at BCCIS. She has studied with us for over one year and plans to continue.
